Door Prize #2

Door prize #1 winner: #50, northcountrygirl. Email me at CITRgiveaways(at)yahoo.com with your full name and address for shipping!

Meanwhile, at the party, my soap guru, CindyP, managed the soapmaking demonstration, making a lovely lavender and basil soap that smells fabulous. I’ll be sharing the recipe soon if you want to make it. If you don’t want to make it, she’ll be selling bars made at the party in her shop soon. (The photo on this post is a picture I took of the beautiful display of her homemade soaps that were available for sale at the party.)

Meanwhile, I kept back one bar of lavender and basil soap made at the party to give away right here! Let me know if you want it! (This contest will close when I post the next door prize.)

More door prizes are on the way today, including another calendar!

Door prize #2 winner: #118, Sarah K. Email me at CITRgiveaways(at)yahoo.com with your full name and address for shipping!

THIS CONTEST IS CLOSED. See Door Prize #3.

After reading and looking at the party information I surely wish I did attend. It was my type of party, jeans, boots, t shirt and rum to end the day, is there anything better in life! I am always pleased to see people who are not putting on airs. Country folk are my kind of folk. What other type of person can get away with putting on jeans, t shirt and boots but still remember the lipstick and maybe the necklace that was possibly handmade. I do agree with you though on the princess outfit, maybe on Sundays for milking the cow and hearding the chickens the princess gown can be considered your sunday go to meeting dress, except that you are meeting with the animals. Thank you for your blog and for who you are, keep doing what you do best and that is being yourself.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
