Chore Boots

I got new chore boots!

Because I can’t go around farmin’ in these chore sandals in the winter. And who else is gonna do chores but me?

And I can’t go around farmin’ in these “dress” farmgirl boots, either. They’d get dirty! Then what would I wear to the store? Dirty–farm. Clean (sorta)–go to town.

Not that I bought these official chore boots. I’m not very official.

And they’re too expensive.

Nor did I buy these daisy chore boots. Even though I  them.

They’re too expensive. (Sigh!)

I bought these chore boots.

Fifteen dollars at Wal-Mart. But! They have pretty colors to choose from for the bottoms. I picked green.

They come in toddler sizes, too. Aren’t they cute? Almost makes me want a toddler. Except not really. Not that I don’t like toddlers, but I’ve already been there, done that, and I have a giant puppy, you know!

I brought my new chore boots home and showed them to Clover. She liked them, too! And– Oh! Yes!

She wants to do chores, too!!!!

52 ties your boot laces? I assume those are 52’s hands. If so, he’s a keeper! The toddler boots are SO cute, but the pic of Clover is hilarious. How on earth did you get her to stand for that? :rotfl: Hooray for new chore boots!

The last poster noticed 52 hands. Now that is a man if you can get him to tie or untie your boots for you. Good going!!!

Clover is too cute in your boots. Is she standing in them??

I think CoCo would like a pair of boots too.

Those boots are only 15.00 at Walmart. I might have to go and get myself a pair. Not that I live on a farm. I dont. We belong to a tractor club. There are time that a pair of rubber boots come in handy at the show grounds on a muddy day. lol. I feel like I play farmer a few times out of the year.

I was falling down laughing at that last shot. Suzanne, you are too funny with the telling of this one. You should write a children’s book on the goats. I think you’d have a winner. xxoo

Love Clover in your work boots, but somehow don’t think she will be too much help with the chores unless you have a lot of cookies to go with those boots. Where is Coco’s pair as she is a working dog (in training)…right.

Chore boots always bring a smile to my face. I think of my little brother who was only two yrs. old when I was 18 and getting married. He wore his rubber boots all year long. Only he called them “ubber boots”. I can still hear him saying this.

Clover looks so cute in them too.

Do these new chore boots keep Clover from kicking and screaming on the milk stand? Go figure…all she really wanted was a new pair of CHORE BOOTS to preform her morning milking duties. Does anybody out there speak ‘MILK GOAT’?

That’s it. I am goin’ to my local Walmart to get me a pair of them there boots. Only I have this toe that won’t bend and I might not be able to get them on or wear them comfortably.(I sound like the old ladies and their talk of health complaints now.) Well anyway I can look at them. Blessings.

We only have three acres here, but everyone has chore boots. The are infinitely handy

I saw a young girl at the pancake house yesterday, her hair and eyes said she had just been pulled from bed by her mom. She was wearing layers of capris, plaid knee length shorts, a flowered shirt and CHORE BOOTS. My husband and I chuckled, but I loved the look. Now that’s class.

Clover is a great model. She’s got a future if the milking goes poorly.

YUM Burrito Pie!! It’s looks delish!

52 ties your shoes…like my husband ties mine. I love a man that ties my shoes. LOL

I had jury duty today…I had new shoes that needed tieing and my husband tied mine. He said “who tied your shoes” in a snotty tone? Hmm Well, let me see. It could have been Petey our Parakeet. There is only he and I at home. Who ELSE would it be?????? He retied them. Also, my curling iron died AND HOT ROLLERS…and I burned my finger BAD getting my bagel out of the toaster. The day started with a bang – literally – he dropped the bottom to the birdcage too. LOL

Gotta tell ya…I got the “official” ones…the expensive ones for my birthday last year and I will never own anything else, even if I have to sell things to get them. Handyman splurged on me, and then I had to splurge to get him some, then we returned some LL Bean boots we had bought for dd#1 and get some for her too. (She got talls.) Handyman is an outerwear expert and we’ve always bought nice “brand” boots. But these are without a doubt the quickest, warmest, comfortablest, sturdiest, snuggliest, best, BEST ever. (I like them a lot.) If I divide the price by the number of times I have worn them and staid warm in them, they’re cheap. Just wanted to give you a first-hand testimonial.

The Slanted Little House

"It was a cold wintry day when I brought my children to live in rural West Virginia. The farmhouse was one hundred years old, there was already snow on the ground, and the heat was sparse-—as was the insulation. The floors weren’t even, either. My then-twelve-year-old son walked in the door and said, “You’ve brought us to this slanted little house to die." Keep reading our story....
