One hen perched on the edge of the feed bin….. Do you see the second chicken inside the bag of feed? Whenever I open the feed bin, I am attacked by a swarm of chickens!

Chicken in a bag sounds like a fast food joint 😆
Love your site. My daughter led me here and now I’m living with you vicariously. Thank you!

That is so cute. Are they silver laced wyandottes? I’ve been trying to learn about the different breeds.

I believe the one perched on the side of the feed bin is one of my silver-laced wyandottes. I think the one inside the feed bag is one of my domineckers. They look a lot alike!

I wasn’t sure from the title of this post whether it was going to be a recipe or a live chicken in a bag. I like that about your blog. Makes reading exciting.

You have a “watch chicken” instead of a “watch dog”. Very clever, those girls!

Today I went to the feed store for something and just stood over the bins of baby chicks wishing I had a coop.

Suzanne,
They are SOOOOOOOOO cute!! It reminds me of Lenny our big hen, who as a chick was not very cute! but now, she’s beautiful! she loves to fly on to the chicken feeder and eat, with her behind up in the air, very funny to watch. Thank You for letting us have a peek into your wonderful farm.

Don’t you just love their antics? I never thought I could get attached to chickens until I got mine. Each has her own personality and they never fail to make me smile.
