What I’ve been up to today:
Half a dozen Dutch Apple Pies to freeze unbaked, getting ready to feed people at upcoming workshops! Since I’m doing all the cooking myself, and at the same time will be involved in giving workshops, I’ll be prepping as much in advance as possible. The Wool and Herbals retreat is coming up in less than three weeks. Time to get excited–and ready!!

Do you thaw before baking or just add to the baking time? They look great!

No, bake from frozen directly so the crust doesn’t get soggy. Just add to the baking time as needed.

Now that is what I call a good days work. I have been using your pie crust recipe since I found it, and it is the best ever, I always have several rounds in the freezer, I can make a pie so quickly now. I purchase large bags of frozen fruit that I can use for pies when it isnt it season. I cant imagine a week with out pie–sweet or savory. I am hoping our apple trees do well this year.
