Thistle flowers. Pretty, huh?
For those of you out there who’ve read Secrets Rising, remember the heroine’s good friend, Mary? I loved Mary. I thought she had the funniest lines in the book. And so…. The third Haven book, which I’m working on now, stars Mary, in her own story. (Bit of trivia–Mary was named in honor of my best friend from elementary school.) Here’s Mary’s story:
Marysia O’Hurley played at being psychic until the day she found out Haven’s earthquake and subsequent paranormal activity had changed her game into a gift. Now the last thing she wants is to use the power that allowed her to foresee the plane explosion that took her husband’s life along with 113 others. U.S. Marshal Gideon Brand is on the run and off the case when he comes looking for Mary. He’s also determined to protect the beautiful woman who wants nothing to do with the investigation into the bombing… An investigation that is now pointing straight at a high-level federal agent. But now the killer has a judge’s six-year-old granddaughter and it’s not only Mary’s psychic skills that could find her within the seventy-two-hour timeframe required but Mary who needs the hot, sexy federal lawman….because the killer is after her, too.
Doesn’t that sound fun? Only Mary is so contrary. Why is writing so difficult? Oh yeah, cuz if it wasn’t, then everyone would do it.

Oooh, this sounds great; I can’t wait for the third book! When it is due to be released?
I’m jumping ahead, since the second one isn’t even out yet. I devoured the first one, so am eager to read the next, and the next, and the next….LOL.
You must have a great deal of self-discipline if you work from home. (Not sure about that, but presume so.) I think I would be distracted by too many things.

:treehugger: I must confess, I haven’t read any of those books. All though they sound really good, I’ll have to be on the look out for them. :treehugger:

Oh man Suzanne, Mary’s story sounds awesome and action packed!! :typing: I’m glad she is getting her own full story, I really liked her in Secret’s Rising, as she seemed to be Keely’s best friend. :purr: Can’t wait to read it, but of course I also can’t wait to read A Hero’s Redemption and find out exactly how and when they travel back in time and why. Hope everyone has a fantastic day. Thanks to Brandy for answering my question yesterday. :snoopy:

I’ll have you know Secrets Rising had me up way past my bedtime last night. Those paranormal elements – :cold: .
I noticed we never saw much of Mary’s husband. She’s an interesting character.

Actually, Suzanne, in my view, you have a great deal of self-discipline. Not only to write successfully, but simply in terms of updating your blog every week-day when you no doubt have so many other things to juggle. You are the only one of my favourite authors who updates her site on a regular basis like this, and who has such an interesting and fun site.
And no, I’m not tossing out flattery; everyone who knows me knows full well I don’t pander to anyone’s ego. LOL.
