We’re headed to Ohio today to pick up Pocahontas. I hope she likes chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, and pigs. Not to mention dogs and cats. And me. And hills and trees and molasses cookies.
A few final clues…..
Pocahontas is NOT….
….a fish.
Pocahontas is NOT….
….a miniature cow.
Pocahontas is NOT…..
….a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater.
Pocahontas IS….
Oh, never mind that, you know I’m not gonna tell!!
On another note, I’m giving an online workshop on the art of blogging that runs from June 15-19. You can find out all about it here and sign up. You don’t have to be a member of the group to take the class. Online workshops are conducted via a group email list. If you have questions about signing up for the class, email the workshop coordinator, Karen Erickson.
See ya tomorrow–with Pocahontas! She IS…..something special!

My money is riding on a donkey for mini horse.

Shells says:
Hm, initially I was going to go with either a miniature donkey or miniature horse …. but as I think about it something like an alpaca or merino makes sense as nothing on that farm is without a purpose and while the donkey/horse has a purpose its not to provide food or fibre like the others …. can’t wait to see.

I’m still thinking Pocahontas is a miniature horse.
Although a one-eyed, one-horned, flying purple people eater would have been really cool.
I wonder what Annabelle and Clover will think of the new girl. :happyflower:

It has to be kind of small since she is stooped down to pat it so that eliminates some things I think unless of course it’s totally laying down hahahah you’re driving us crazy lol.

Taryn says:
I agree with the comment that the animal is something useful. Maybe not a miniature cow, but a full size milk cow (eventually!) or an alpaca because of the fur. If it is named something that doesn’t relate to food, I doubt it is something to eat. Pretty cool!

BuckeyeGirl says:
Well, I did a thorough search of the ‘inter-web’ and found out who/what Pocahontas is. I’m not telling though! I’m looking forward to Suzanne’s pics of her just as much as the rest of you all! The pic I found was very good I’m sure, but definitely lacking the personality of Suzanne’s pics that we are all used to enjoying. (yes, I’m a little jealous cause she’s SO talented!)
I’m pretty sure I found the right one, but if not I’ll be sure to say what I -THOUGHT- she was and admit my goof-up. I’d rather share my laughter with everyone than try to be sneaky and such!! :sun:
