Playmates for Dr. Pepper

Fanta has two babies! They were born late last night. I’ll have more details later. One is all black, a miniature Fanta, and the other one has more of Mr. Pibb’s coloring, brown with black around the eyes, a black stripe down the back, black booties, and a black underbelly.

It looks like a little bear cub!

    Congrats, G-ma!

Can I tell you how much my kids love looking at the pictures on your site? Everynight when I sit down and open the laptop, my two-year-old comes over and says, “Want see baby goats!” And we do.

Can you guess how many times I have watched the video of the goat being born or the sheep playing with the dog? I bet you can!

  8. judydee says:

  20. jan~n~tn says:

Playmates for all. They are little bundles of cuteness. OOOO-OOOH it looks like a Root-BEAR. LOL

  21. BeckyW says:

How exciting Suzanne! I am still waiting on my girls…I had thought I might have some kidding the end of this month but it’s not looking that close I don’t think…

Question? You are having cold weather similar to ours here in the Midwest I would say…do you use any heat lamps or do you find they do just fine with a good shelter?

Do you have any concerns with them getting too chilled before they dry off? Just curious.

  22. bonita says:

Good grief, how can all that cuteness fit in that tiny dog house. Is the ‘more experienced’ Nutmeg showing Fanta the ropes? I’m afraid that if those kids were mine, my curds would dry, the cookies would burn, and the bread would rise out of sight. I’d be camped out at the goat pen, 24/7.

  23. claudia w says:

More cuteness! How can you stand it all? Beautiful kids!

  24. Michelle says:

    Congrats on the new babies!

The brown and black one’s coloring is called “Chamoisee”. Here’s a helpful link for color genetics: https://members.cox.net/foxcroft/genetics.htm
