The Nightstand Challenge

I ordered this cute little nightstand over a week ago. Delivery was delayed because of the weather, but the UPS man finally showed up yesterday. Of course, it’s in a box, in pieces. Pieces that need to be put together. This is so not my forte. When it’s put together, it’s supposed to look like this. (That is the link to the nightstand on Amazon, where I ordered it.)

It’s cute, isn’t it? Did you look? Very inexpensive also, which was a key element in my shopping choice along with cute.

It can’t be that complicated, right? Putting things together, like math, is not my thing. My brain just doesn’t work that way. But I’ve decided that surely I can do this. I’m snowed in. What else do I have to do? I will report back tomorrow! With either a nightstand all put together or my brain in pieces along with the nightstand!

February 17, 2015 - Hanging In

I think that would be winter hanging in. I was feeling a little bit on the verge of a meltdown (and not talking about the temperature) this morning when my neighbor Andy showed up by surprise to plow my driveway. That was really nice of him, though it’s supposed to snow some more tomorrow. But...

February 16, 2015 - Late Bloomer

Hello, Winter. This has not been a rough winter so far, or really what I’d even call a winter. This winter has been a late bloomer. It’s been nothing to compare to last year when I had water frozen at the house and the barn and was hauling buckets of water in the back of...
