I make sugar scrubs for gifts here also and personal use. I do get my oils from http://www.soaperschoice.com it is Columbus Foods in the Chicago area, they carry gallon sized bottles of many oils we use for soapmaking and the lovely body products. I am just a very long time customer of theirs and find their oils to be fresh and delivered fast.

I made some of the brown sugar scrub last winter, gave some as gifts, kept one for home. My son (age 25) used it this summer when his sunburn was peeling – was a good exfolient and it did not hurt. He used it gently for several days until all the layers finally came off. If only he would think and use sunscreen before he went to the river, but maybe that will come when he hits 30.
