1 box any flavor cake mix

1 can any flavor soda, pop, coke or whatever you call it.

dump cake mix into microwave safe dish/bowl, pour can of whatever you call it into cake mix stir.  Put into microwave for around 7 minutes.  You will need to watch it has been known to be done in as few as 5minutes or up to 9minutes depending on the microwave. Add cool whip or whatever your heart desires it is your cake!

The person who upsets you the most is your best teacher, because they bring you face to face with who you are.

Amanda, I just found this recipe. Of course, I had'nt yet discovered Chickens in the Road when you posted this one. I want to try it and will get a box of cake mix next time I go to the grocery store. Smile

Variation on this theme, if you have a tube pan that will work in the microwave:

1 cake mix

1 can fruit pie filling

3 eggs

Mix to break up pie filling.  Pour into 3-qt tube pan.  Microwave for 6 minutes, rotate, microwave 6 additional minutes.  Probably the newer microwaves would only need 5 minutes or less, rotate, 5 more minutes.

Immediately turn out onto cake plate.

Chocolate cake with cherry pie filling is my personal favorite, but spice cake with apple filling or white cake with blueberry filling are delicious as well.  Pick any combination that appeals!

There are some.  Mine is an old Tupperware one.  I've seen others around.  And "Pete" is an old nickname, not indicative of gender.

Generally, I don't really like to put plastic into the microwave, but once in a while we get hungry for a quick cake.

If I ever find it, I'll post a really neat recipe for a self-frosted German chocolate cake.  You smear the frosting inside the pan first, then dump the cake mix on top of it.  Don't remember how many eggs go into it…

I got the quick cake mix recipe from Tupperware for their new microwave safe plastic vented lid containers. (No CFC's)  Another variation is to put 1/2 to a whole bag of chocolate chips in the container then add the cake mix on top. I have not tried the chocolate chips yet but I will soon. And now you have me wanting to try the cherry pie filling with the chocolate cake mix!!!!

I tried this recipe and used a corning ware dish with a glass set in the middle. I only did 10 min. It turned out pretty good. Was a quick chocolate fix.

Oh, Linda!  That sounds like a good idea!  Maybe a glass bowl would also work?  Hmm.  Seems like I have a few of those, and that sounds better than any kind of plastic in the microwave.
