Today is my Punk-ie-doo's birthday…and she'd kill me if she knew I told you her nickname…Happy Birthday to my daughter!  Twenty-seven years ago today…I gave birth to a 23.5 inch baby girl that weighted 10 lbs 7 ozs.  (No, I did not have gestational diabetes…she was just BIG!)

I spent the day (it's 106.5 with a heat index of 110) returning things that I had purchased "just in case" I couldn't find something to wear to the wedding…her wedding.  I did find something…and I found THE best alteration person on the planet!  Not sure I look great in the dress – but the dress fits me perfectly!  So I returned so many things today…and didn't even mind the heat!  I feel that such a load has been lifted from my shoulders, and everywhere else…I cannot tell you how much better I feel.  There aren't words…ok, I'll Stop now!   Shimmy

I don't know if you can see that…but there she is…at 10 months!  Actually, better leave that nickname out of the album Jayne…I called her Sunshine!

I'm just sitting here wiggling my toes.  A friend – my daughter's age – had terrible back surgery.  Because of his youth, they were able to make small incisions and not cut through muscle…so the doctors were very excited about his surgery…his surgery took around five hours.  I'm thankful for so much today!

I feel like I'm jumping in <hold nose! Cannonball!> into the middle of an ongoing conversation -but Oh Well!   I'm trying to find somewhere fun to play and this topic looks like fun!  (hope its okay)  Hello

Georgia quit her job – was it a planned quit??  Or just had all the good time you could take or?

Cindy – more ambition than What?  <g>

I'm off today – playing with the kiddos and cleaning house.  Writing.  Contemplating my forty hundred cucumbers and thinking Pickle. Yes

Pete, that's perfect,  maybe I need a bugle.  On the days that I feel like screaming, I could just go outside and blow the horn!!!   That would be almost every day lately!!

I am at work this morning, but I plan to leave at lunch and go see my Auntie.  Uncle Frank passed away last Friday, and she is really hurting.  (all of us are).  She needs some extra attention and I need some hugs.

Thanks Cindy, it really sucks to get old, you lose all of your older relatives, I have only one Aunt on my fathers side and one on my Mamas side.   It is very disturbing to realise that I am so close to being in the oldest generation of my family.

Yes, Jeannie, it does feel rather strange to become that oldest generation in the family.  At least I am the youngest member of that oldest group!  (Is that really any consolation??)  My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours.

This morning will be a little lazy, then pick up as the day wears on.  A buddy is flying in for a few days.  So, it's dinner at another friend's house this evening, then the "grand tour" begins in the morning.

I am sooooo jealous of your having those black cherries, Cindy!  We had a tree when I was a child, so I thought they were common place.  What a disappointment to discover that they are not.  Don't remember Mom making anything other than preserves and pie with them.  Of course, I got my share straight from the tree!

We had a tree – and my brother's dog Bear would stand on his hind legs and eat every cherry he could reach!  Between the dog and the birds…well, there wasn't much left!  I can still see him doing that!

Jeannie – I am so sorry to hear about your uncle.  You and your family are in my prayers.

I am going to be working on my new blog today.  Again.  I started working on it a couple of days ago, and I have just been totally consumed with it!  It sucked me in!  Hopefully I will be able to get things the way I want them today so I can move on to canning.
