I like Hot Cakes ,Maple syrup and Bacon, I read in a Boston Food Blog of this chap who put crispy bacon in with his Pecan Pie.So I thought I'd give it a try.Made Suzanne's Pecan and Bourbon,Maple syrup Pie and on removing from the oven inserted strips of crispy streaky bacon. I loved it,took just a little edge off the sweetness. I do have a problem tho. There is only me to eat it,so since becoming a member of Suzanne's Blog,Ive put on weightHelp

Wow! I'm going to make that! Its all the flavours that I love. I like maple better than chocolate and I love bacon and pecans too! I have a couple of tiny bottles of Rigas that I think I will use for it. I'll look up the recipe now and maybe make it up this afternoon.

Maybe I will wait until the apple pies I just made are gone first. I will plan it for next week and make it as a surprise. I say I am making it for me, but I'm sure the guys will eat it too, even if hubby says he prefers apple.
