The cold weather is back so it was crock pot stew and spring onion dumplings.  For pud I baked coffee cookies but I did something wrong and they splurged and went rock hard.  Had to dunk them for a minute in my tea! Lol

I'm still craving that shrimp scampi!!  Plans went awry again yesterday when we had to go up to the neighbor's ranch to feed and water.  After a faceful of hay and wet jeans from spilling the water bucket (NOT my fault….the sheep thought it was the good stuff!), I just didn't feel like doing much of anything!   Maybe tonight….

Mmmm.  What everyone is having sounds great!  But it's Fat Tuesday, so we are having pancakes and all the fixins at church.  Our choir started doing this several years ago as a fundraiser for themselves, and it has now become a tradition.  It's nearly time to go over there and pig out – yummm!

Oh, but there will be some ice cream here either before or after, depending upon how long it takes for this custard to cool.

And the crockpot is filled with country ribs for some time this week.  (Needed the room in the freezer for the ice cream bowl!)

I have navy beans on, but I am craving chocolate ice cream from DQ.  Can't get that in the South, they only sell vanilla at DQ..  so that is a super treat here!   I think that can be dessert!  :)

Well, we must keep our priorities straight, eh, bonita?   smiley-rabbit

It's not ice cream yet – gave up and put the freezing bowl back in the freezer and the now (finally) well chilled custard back into the refrigerator.   surprised

Since there are lots of eggs and milk in it, ice cream should be a good breakfast food, right?  Maybe add a bit of granola??  Oh, and maybe some maple syrup…

Pete, pretend you're in Sicily, they often have granita and a yeast bread such as brioche for breakfast!
