OfflineWhen my girls were young their friends would come over and I let them make english muffin pizzas…I put out all kinds of toppings and let them make as many as they wanted. you can fit several mini pizzas on a cookie sheet.
I never thought much about it until a couple of years ago one of their friends said they loved to come to our house because they could make their own pizza ( that was over 20 years ago). This kind of pizza would not be a good choice for adults… but preteens love them.![]()
Guess what? I think I want muffin pizzas with a salad for supper tonight.![]()

OfflineWhen I was growing up my mother's sister who never married would have her 3 nieces and 1 nephew come visit her during the summer. One of the things that she always fixed was biscuit pizza. You flattened out the biscuit (canned) and then ladled on the toppings. It became a staple in our house when our kids were growing up. In fact we had them for supper the other night and I used a rolling pin to make them flatter. DH said it was some of the best pizza he has eaten and he doesn't like pizza.
Aunt Lois didn't like to cook so it was always a treat to visit her because we got to eat out a lot which we didn't get to at home. You were expected to use proper table manners.

OfflineBroccoli Salad! Helped with a dinner at the American Legion Friday night. Firehouse Porkchops and mashed potatoes left over. Also some veggies that never made it out to refill the trays so I made salad from some broccoli I brought home. MMMM – raisins, sunflower kernels, bacon…..maybe I will have a porkchop for dessert ![]()
Boiled eggs to get pickled eggs going so they have time to get all pickled up for Easter.

OfflineThe crockpot is working again today, I am trying to getting some cleaning done, so this is such a time saver. Have large dried lima beans (we call them butter beans) with a nice size han shank from the freezer, will bake a skillet of corn bread and for desert, left over angel food cake with lemon sauce.
I keep thinking about that pizza Pete mentioned, maybe tomorrw night we will order one.

OfflineI LOVE Butter beans! Sometimes I open up a can and eat them all by my self…the whole can …with just a little butter cooked in them. They are better with fresh or cured pork…now I am starting to feel a craving coming on!
We're having Velvetta chicken casserole. Wish I had thought of Butter Beans.

OfflineOMG, I haven't had fried bologna sandwiches since I lived at home…. I need some bologna, too!
We had smoked grilled steaks over the fire tonight. Yum! Grilling time! Now that I can see the grill….
