ok…and this is for everyone reading who doesn't always make such wonderful meals….at least all the time….

tonight for dinner, I had a spoonful of canned frosting, and a raw hotdog.

There, the truth is out….even chefs eat like crap now and then (but don't tell my guests at the restaurant)

Oh, that is just TOO funny, deb!     french

Opened the last jar of layered chili.  It was the best of the bunch, so guess the key to really liking it is to let it age for over a year?  I dunno…   cool

Deb, you sound like me when I can't decide what I'm hungry for!

Tonight I'm making chicken potpie with homemade noodles.  It's simmering as I write. I also thought about adding those butter logs Suzanne had posted. They looked good. Hmmmm!   smiley-rabbit

This noon we finished the turkey soup so tonight I raided the pantry for canned beef and made stew.

Well, we had one of my personal favorites, one which has become something of a go-to meal in a hurry.  We made sloppy joes using homemade hamburger rolls from yesterday.  So good, so good.  And it took no time at all using the jar of sloppy joe sauce we canned last year.

And YES, the recipe is posted here!!   http://chickensintheroad.com/f…..joe-sauce/

(Was hoping that the original poster would move it over to FBR, but…since she didn't, I did!  Gave her attribution, of course.)

A stir fry with rice in on the menu tonight ;)    Easy since I've been out and about today and I don't feel like cooking up anything big.

Last night's left over Vegetable beef soup made in the pressure cooker with homemade biscuits, pickled beets  and molasses drizzled over the buttered biscuits. Had an orange later for dessert.

Everyone's homemade meals sound so good that I'm almost ashamed to admit that hubby and I ate at a Mexican restaurant tonight. Almost. Well, not really, it was so GOOD. fork

We went out tonight to a chowder & chili supper/auction put on by the local snowmobile club. I had corn chowder and DH had fiddlehead chowder. They also had fish chowder.  With homemade corn bread and biscuits and LOTS of homemade desserts. Yum!

Remember, if it rains on your picnic it's also raining on your garden!

We had chicken tacos!

Cooked the chicken breast in the crock pot with taco seasonings and salsa.  Shredded the meat and put on flour tortillas with refried beans, spanish rice, sour cream and chedder cheese!      Yummy and really easy!

Thought I should post what I'm having tonight for dinner, since my last posting here wasn't impressive…

Roast Pork Sirloin Roast with homemade applesauce, roasted potatoes, minted carrots, sauteed zucchini, and stir-fried mushrooms.  A little praline and cream ice cream for dessert.

Much better than last time, I think. fork
