Hello! I am new to the forum, but I am a long time reader of Suzanne's blog. I am wondering if I could get your help with a project that I am working on…

My dear, sweet friend lost her 2 month old baby boy to SIDS last week. I have been trying and trying to think of ways to help ease my friend and her husband through this devestating loss. I finally came up with the idea to try to see if I can get the baby's name, "EZRA", written in different mediums from all over the world, pictures taken of his name, and all of them put into an album for the family to have. You could write it the dirt, sand, a wall, with chalk, carve a tree with his initals, print it on a sheet of paper, anything! Be creative! I began this little project yesterday (the day of his funeral) and so far the response has been overwhelming. Our city mayor is going to do something, our baseball team, local news…I have complete strangers emailing me their creations! I am blown away! I want to give my friend a tangible item that she can go to when she is feeling alone in her grief to see that she is NOT alone. That the loss of an infant touches people that she never knew, that she will never know…that we all will help keep his memory alive!

Thank you for your sweet encouragement…and wish me luck! I am going to attempt to contact our Governor Perry and our Congressman on Monday! AND, a friend of mine has a friend who is close to the Obama campaign and the first lady knows her by name. We are going to try to get her involved…how AWESOME would that be?? I will keep those of you who are interested updated. Now, what would be great is if Suzanne could get Clover to pose with a sign with EZRA's name. You know, because Clover is amazing
