I have lived in the state of Kansas all but about 3 months, when we lived in Illinois.  But we have traveled a lot have been almost all the states but the northeast, Alaska & Hawaii and Washington & Oregon.

We currently live within 75 miles of where both my husband & I grew up.

I have lived in south dakota for over 20 years.  I grew up in NW Iowa so I never got very far away from where I grew up.

I live in Augusta County, Virginia.  I have lived in the area for most of my life, and last July I bought a two-acre property within a mile of the farm on which I grew up.  It's good to be back home.

I live in North central Texas.  I've been here since 1982.  It is very dry anbd hot this summer, but I'm keeping cool by doing the chores early in the morning and late evening.  During the day I make my  cheese and care for my 2 year old granddaughter and 9 month old grandson.

I am from Maine. Just south of Augusta. We live in a small town that my husband grew up in. I grew up in the next county over. I am new to this site and I already love it, so I made it my homepage.

I am happy to see that I am not the only Mainer here. I look forward to "meeting all of you".

Phoenix, Arizona by way of Columbus, Ohio about 3 years ago.  We moved here to get out of the snow but I'm ready to go back.  I miss the grass.  I live on 2 acres (which is considered a farm here) with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses and soon 14 baby chicksheart.  I so glad glad I found this site, such amazing people.

we've been in St. Louis for 20 years…but we're both from Illinois.  Gosh,  big difference in the garden results,  that's for sure.

We are hoping to find a 2-5 acres something in Mi or WI  close to chicago…because my sister is helping to finance  and she lives there !   PLUS  ,  it must be on a decent sized lake…because joe loves to sail…so many CITR's  live in MI,  but Joes grandpa and cousins lived in Wis…so who knows…anybody know of gorgeaus lakes in either state ?

I was born in Hollywood, CA and iived in the L.A. area until I was in college. I went to college in the low desert, then moved to the high desert with the guy who's now my husband. We then moved to the south. We stayed there for a few years and then moved to New England, and we've been there ever since!

I'm from the Cincinnati, Ohio area just a few miles from Kings Island.  I can't seem to go a day with out Chickens In The Road.  I have learned so much from this site and from the 2011 CITR Retreat.  Just wish I lived closer to some of my adopted chicken sisters because everyone here looks at me like I'm crazy.  They do, however, admire my new found skills but continue to shake their heads.  Yep, I should live in the country where people would understand me.

I live at the most western edge of Erie Colorado.  Just where small town meets country, but not on a farm, in a subdivision.  Any more Colorado folks?  I was born in Dennison, Texas but went to elementary school in Tyler, Texas.  My Dad moved us to Colorado in 1963 to start up his own business.  I went to middle school and high school in Boulder, CO then migrated to the south to attend Oklahoma Christian College in Edmond, OK.  When the kids came along we moved back to Boulder to be close to family.  Now we live about 8 miles east of Boulder and love the view of the mountains.  I found this site last fall and love it, love it, love it.  I have learned so much.  Everynight when my husband gets home I show him a new recipe I have printed to try, or a new tip I have learned.  Am trying to get the courage to go alone to the 2012 retreat.  Maybe I will get there and meet all my new online friends.shroom
